The Twelve Dogs of Christmas by Lizzie Shane is a Contemporary Romance novel about a photographer from New York named Ally, who moves back to Pine Hollow for the holidays to take care of her grandparents and save their animal shelter from closing permanently. While helping her grandparents with the animal shelter she meets Ben West, who is a single parent raising his niece and unexpectedly connects with Ally. Together they discover themselves and what it means to overcome tragedy and setback and pulling together for a common cause.
I loved this book so much. The writing was humorous, and the cast of characters were great. I loved the character development and all the Christmas festivities. I would highly recommend this book to get into the holiday spirit or if you are looking for something that is cute and a quick read.
