Review: How to Become a Successful Beta Reader- Book 1, Learning the Fundamentals of Fiction

Dedrie Marie’s nonfiction book, “How to Become a Successful Beta Reader: Book 1- Learning the Fundamentals of Fiction” is a guide about how to break into beta reading and be successful at it. Marie also discusses her personal story in how she got into beta reading and gives some helpful tips.

I found this book to be informative and easy to read. Marie’s writing is very descriptive, and I loved how she discusses vocabulary terms in a glossary format and lists some reading recommendations for further reading concepts.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone that is wanting to know more about beta reading or literary terms and concepts.

Review: Always We Begin Again- Stepping into the Next, New Moment

I recently read a fabulous devotional by Leeana Tankersley called Always We Begin Again- Stepping into the Next, New Moment. The devotional is a 100 day devotional journal with Bible verses and inspirational quotes about positivity and deepening your relationship with God and yourself.

I loved this book. I found it very helpful and uplifting. One of my favorite devotions was “Day 34, Threshold.” As someone who sometimes has a hard time crossing thresholds, this section was relatable to me. It talks about no matter how difficult of a challenge you are facing, God is always with you no matter what and he will guide you through it. All in all, this book was fantastic, and I would recommend it to anyone who needs some inspiration, has a love of God and wants to deepen his or her faith or is just interested in checking it out.

Review: The Horse of My Dreams- True Stories of the Horses We Love

I received a free copy from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my thoughts on the book or the content of my review. Thank you to the publisher for sending me a copy.

The Horse of My Dreams- True Stories of the Horses We Love edited by Callie Smith Grant is a collection of short true stories about people and their love and experiences with horses.

I could not put this book down. I was so entranced by these stories and the inspiration that they carried. I could not choose a favorite short story as I loved them all. However, one that did strike me though was the story of Flash and Henry by Rachel Anne Ridge. It is about two donkeys named Flash and Henry and the growth of their friendship after a rocky start.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is looking for some inspiration or just simply loves horses.

Review: Bad Apple

I received a free copy from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my thoughts on the book or the content of my review.

Bad Apple by Elle Kennedy is a steamy, standalone, new adult romance novel about a young woman named Maggie, who mistakes a guy for someone else. She ends up in the wrong bed and has a one-night stand. What comes next is how they deal with the aftermath of their one night together.

I really enjoyed this book. It was short, quick, and a good time. I love Elle Kennedy’s writing. She knows how to hook the reader.
