Back Roads to Belonging: Unexpected Paths to Finding Your Place and Your People by Kristen Strong is a non-fiction inspirational book about how to follow your heart and God on your path to your belonging place. Strong uses her story and other people’s stories to teach you how to get to where you belong.
My favorite part of the book is the “Belonging Blessing” at the end of each chapter. Each blessing relates back to the focus or bible story for that chapter. Some themes Strong discusses in her book are compassion, encouragement, perseverance, and peace.
Overall, I absolutely loved this book. I thought it was well written and inspiring. It will stay with me wherever I go. I would recommend this book to anyone who is struggling to find their belonging place or to anyone who wants to check it out.
